Courtney's 25th Birthday

One of Courtney's favorite things to do for her birthday is go to Disney.  On May 2nd, we combined Courtney's birthday with an end of Pharmacy school celebration. The day started with a trip to Hollywood Studios. Here we met up with Courtney's pharmacy classmates. The first ride of the day you ask, Toy Story Midway Mania of course!

We love this attraction, however we often arrive at the park too late in the afternoon to ever ride it without a ridiculous wait or ability to get a Fastpass. Therefore, we were very excited to ride it this time!  We made sure to get a Fastpass before standing in line so we could ride twice.

TIP: If you arrive at Hollywood Studios at rope drop, we highly recommend going to Toy Story first. Also, get a Fastpass before you get in line the first time. Usually the return time will be within an hour or so, allowing you to ride the attraction twice with little wait!

Even though we love this attraction, we aren't the best at it! It always amazes us to see what the high scores of the day are, some people are really quite good! Derek got the highest score in our vehicle both times!

After Toy Story, the rest of the pharmacy classmates went to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. As you know, Courtney does not do many thrill rides. We decided to grab some breakfast at Starring Rolls. This is a great little counter service with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. We also hear they have great cupcakes and will definitely be back to try them!

Courtney's classmates met up with us at Starring Rolls and then broke out singing Happy Birthday! It was a cute little surprise. A cast member heard this and gave Courtney a Mickey Mouse cookie! It's these little touches of Disney magic that makes trips truly magical.

It was then time to head over to Magic Kingdom to eat at Be Our Guest for lunch! Unfortunately as we made our way to the park it started to rain. It continued to rain on and off for most of the day but we did not let that ruin our fun!

TIP:  One of the best times to head to the park is when it rains. The parks are often less busy, so grab those ponchos and have fun splashing in the puddles!

Lunch at Be Our Guest was amazing as usual. However, we were surprised to see that our favorite was no longer on the menu. The steak sandwich was changed to a roast beef sandwich but don't worry it was still great, if not better! And no lunch at Be Our Guest would be complete without a cupcake!

After lunch it was time to hit the rides! Luckily due to the rain, the waits weren't too bad. We rode Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Small World, Buzz Lightyear, People Mover and Philharmagic before ending the day with dinner at Pinocchio's. We had a great flat bread pizza and bread sticks as we enjoyed the perfect view.

TIP: When dining at Pinocchio's Village Haus head to the small balcony upstairs to eat. You can eat inside but we suggest going outside to enjoy a view of Fantasyland and Cinderella's Castle while you eat!

It really was a perfect birthday at Disney filled with friends, good times and lots of memories
